This winter we are offering a series of meditation evenings in Longthorpe (at Sara's home). These will be held once a month on Thursdays from 7:30-8:30 pm from November 2nd for 5 months. The idea of these sessions is to explore Yoga beyond the physical practise/postures - so there will be no physical work at all. Each session will be different and will explore various traditions of meditation, yoga philosophy and other relevant techniques and experiences. All sessions should be booked in advance and are limited to just 10 participants, so please book as soon as you can….
The dates are:
Thursday 2nd November: Introduction to our Yoga for the Soul sessions and a look at some basic meditation (Spaces still available)
Thursday 7th December: Meditation practise and a special guest helping us to discover our inner resources for creativity and artistic expression
Thursday 4th January: Meditation practise and a chance to experience how sound can profoundly affect us
Thursday 1st February: Meditation practise (guest slot will be chosen from a list by those who attend the Nov and Dec meetings - democracy in action!!!)
Thursday 1st March: An "audience" with a Buddhist Nun. The lovely opportunity to learn about the Buddhist tradition of meditation and ask Kelsang Rak-ma any burning questions…! (tbc)
